Assembly review

Received the Paramount Black and Stainless Glass Flame Propane Patio Heater from Rona as per the expected delivery date. The box was slightly damaged on one corner but looking inside no damage was apparent on the lower assembly surfaces of the unit. During assembly found that the bottom plate of the lower unit was slightly deformed, it was reasonably easy to correct with bar clamps and wood. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The only rework required in the instructions comes in Step 10 in the install of the "Hook Panels" where eight of the previously installed screws (Step 4) had to be removed and reinstalled. All parts assembled easily and fit very well together. All parts were of good quality and well packaged. On completion of assembly the only remaining parts were two extra screws. Light up of the unit went without any issues. Now awaiting a cold night to test the heating capability of the unit. (Will update post that night)

Stylish patio heater

Assembly was fairly straightforward, requiring 2hrs, the only part to be careful with is the grey posts that have a unique method of attachment which requires careful scrutiny of the instructions to ensure that the V springs meet the grooves inside the posts. I would caution that the top reflector has sharp unfinished edges and should be handled with care. The front panel did have a broken connector, however, I've contacted support and immediately received feedback. We used this heater on our deck last night and are very impressed with the heat, and especially the look of the flame.

Amazing Heater

Great value, very tall, flames are beautiful and contained. The overall look of the patio heater is beautiful and adds such a wonderful touch to my backyard. We were short 5 screws from the sealed package.

Impressive looking, noticeable warmth from a distance.

Assembly took longer than the 45 minute expectation. Getting it turned once completed was a chore I hope becomes more reasonable after first use. Slightly concerned about sturdiness and stability, but glad to have purchased thus far.

Beautiful.

Assembly took about 2 hours but was easy and the instructions were very clear. I was missing a few pieces but Customer Service very quickly replaced them. Took me a few tries to realize that the lighting process requires pressing IN the knob. The flame is very pretty & throws decent heat. Looking forward to using this often this fall & winter.

Not perfect, but nice to have

Two metal parts in original packaging were found to be damaged upon opening - one leg had a piece of it sheared off, and the top of the unit was bent. Took two or three hours to assemble. Did not stay lit when first started with full tank of propane. Support quickly responded to the lighting issue and a shake of the tilt switch seems to have solved the problem. On a cold winter night the heat it puts out makes a difference.

Nice Looking, Poor Heating

Ours is a slightly different model Paramount pyramid style heater that was purchased through Costco, but JRHome hasn’t updated their website with the exact product we purchased. Overall it seems well built but I have two complaints: 1. Most of the black painted panels have chipped paint on the corners straight out of the plastic wrapping, who knows if that will rust quickly. They’re not huge spots, but some spots have missing paint over an inch long which is unacceptable to me. I will be contacting JRHome customer service to see if they will ship new panels. I’d add photos here if the website allowed. 2. The flame is a decent size but the heat output is poor unless you’re standing within two feet. If you’re sitting beside it only your face will receive any warmth as the top hat doesn’t reflect heat back down like an umbrella style heater would. Overall a nice addition to the patio but would rate it 5/10 purely because of paint defects and poor heat output.
